Tempo and Tempis

"One... two...one...two.." Amy counted out the stallion's strides as he moved fluidly beneath her. She focused hard on keeping the stallion at an even and forward tempo. They had been schooling her test for weeks. Paying special attention to fine-tuning his movements. Amy knew he needed to improve before the Olympics. But Desi seemed to bask in the glory of showing. Lifting his hooves evenly and cleanly. Amy just hoped it was enough to give her good marks from the judge.
